That said the staff couldn't be nicer, totally made our stay with their non-stop kindness, and the food in the restaurant is exceptional.   Last minute decision to go to Newquay, however best decision. We could not have asked for a better place to stay, it was clean and comfortable. The host Jennie was... read more amazing, she told us the place spots to go drinking and food. It looks like Jennie was the only person working there as she was cleaning, checking people in and out but this did not effect how she dealt with customers. She was so pleasant. The owners need to recognise this if they don't already.

Really looking forward to recommending this place to all my friends.

This is a place for families to stay most defiantly. Kitchen to make your own food if you wanted, a bar to chill and relax while watching tv or listening to music. Lots of Games for the kids to play as well.
Families with young kids sometimes struggle in hotels with warming baby food, or find it expensive to eat out all the time. This is what makes this place unique as it’s like home from home but without the cleaning up!!

We were greeted in quite a dismissive way, the owner only seemed interested in... read more pushing the food and drink sold by the hotel rather than welcoming us.

When we were told about our room we were informed it had a shared bathroom, the hotels.com description does not make it clear that the room we booked didn't have an ensuite (which you would expect for the approx £70/night we paid).

The room itself was clean and the bed was comfy, but it didn't look anything like the room pictured on the hotels.com site (it was much smaller).

The walls are very thin and we heard (very clearly) people throwing up after a night out in the room next to us, on multiple nights.

Something else that concerned us was a 3rd party contractor asking for access to our room while we were relaxing in there during the door, he proceeded to come in and do some work on the door lock while we awkwardly waited for him to leave.

We felt quite awkward entering and leaving the hotel via the main room/restaurant downstairs as the staff seemed to sit in there and stare at you, and we almost felt judged for not wanting food/drink there.

Overall we wouldn't come back here, I think if you were a group of surfers who just wanted a place to stay this would be OK. If you're a couple looking to spend a few days in Newquay I'd pick somewhere else.
